The provider organizations have, over several decades, increasingly focused on treatment of illness rather than prevention due to treatments’ higher comparative economic value than prevention. It is hard to put a cost on problem avoidance, while it is easy to assess the value of restoring a patient’s quality of life and functional capabilities.
Integrating prevention services help with emerging Health Delivery Networks (HDNs) positions them to become extensions of the provider. The services create opportunities to redesign aspects of the delivery process making organizations more productive.
Well-Check is not a service provider. Well-Check is a service administrator connecting a variety of payors (including brokers) to local HDNs and other qualified suppliers. For brokers, Well-Check becomes a one-stop shop helping groups efficiently find effective prevention solutions for their employer clients. We offer services to all of these groups to build a variety of prevention solutions that meet employers needs and circumstances.
For this reason, Well-Check, although focused on the Health Delivery systems, also works with a number of independent suppliers of prevention services. Our goal is to find the best programs that can work with the HDNs and make them available to the commercial markets in an effective manner.
