How can I download the app?

What is Well-Check?

Well-Check is a wellness and safety app that allows users to schedule regular check-ins with family members, caregivers, or other trusted contacts. If a user requests assistance or does not respond to a scheduled check-in, the app can automatically notify their selected contacts.

Who is Well-Check designed for?

Well-Check can be helpful for:

  • Older adults who live independently
  • Individuals managing health or medication routines
  • College students living away from home
  • People who live or work alone
  • Individuals recovering from an illness, injury, or medical procedure
  • Travelers who want to stay connected with family
  • Families caring for loved ones from a distance

How do scheduled wellness check-ins work?

Users select one or more check-in times that fit their daily routine. At the scheduled time, Well-Check sends a notification asking the user to confirm that they are okay or indicate that they need assistance.

What happens if I miss a scheduled check-in?

If you do not respond, Well-Check sends additional prompts and provides a brief grace period. If you still do not respond, the app automatically alerts your designated contact or contacts so they can attempt to reach you and determine whether assistance is needed.

What happens if I select “I Need Help”?

Your designated contacts are immediately notified that you may need assistance. They can then call you, check on you in person, or contact emergency services when appropriate.

Does Well-Check contact 911 automatically?

No. Well-Check is not an emergency response service and does not contact 911 or emergency responders directly. The app sends alerts to the contacts you select. Those contacts are responsible for determining the appropriate next step.

If you are experiencing an immediate emergency, always call 911 or your local emergency services directly.

Who receives an alert when I miss a check-in?

Alerts are sent only to the trusted contacts you have selected within the app. Depending on your subscription and settings, you may be able to add multiple family members, friends, neighbors, caregivers, or other trusted individuals.

 

Can I add more than one emergency contact?

Yes. Well-Check allows users to create a trusted support network so multiple people can stay informed. The number of contacts and available contact-management features may depend on your subscription plan.

Can I schedule multiple check-ins each day?

Yes. You can schedule check-ins at times that work best for your routine, such as in the morning, after taking medication, when arriving home, or before going to bed. The number of available daily check-ins may depend on your selected plan.te a trusted support network so multiple people can stay informed. Can I change my check-in schedule?

Yes. The leader only can update check-in times as your schedule or needs change. This makes Well-Check useful for everyday routines, temporary travel, recovery periods, or changing care needs.

Does Well-Check include medication reminders?

Yes. Well-Check can provide medication reminders to help users maintain a more consistent routine. Available medication scheduling features may vary by subscription plan.

 

Can Well-Check help me remember appointments?

Well-Check can help users organize important wellness-related tasks and appointment reminders, making it easier to stay on top of daily care responsibilities.

 

Does Well-Check offer location sharing?

Location-based features may be available when the user enables them and grants the appropriate device permissions. Location information can help trusted contacts determine where the user may be when assistance is requested.

Is Well-Check easy for older adults to use?

Yes. Well-Check was designed to provide a simple and intuitive experience. Users can respond to a scheduled check-in or request assistance with only a few taps.

Can several family members use Well-Check to support one loved one?

Yes. Multiple trusted contacts can be included so siblings, caregivers, neighbors, or other family members can coordinate support and receive important alerts.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Subscriptions section of your Apple account settings. Deleting the app from your phone does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

How does Well-Check protect my privacy?

Well-Check uses personal information to operate check-ins, reminders, contact notifications, and other app features. Well-Check does not sell personal information or share it for advertising purposes. Optional permissions, such as location access, can be managed through your device settings.

Will I get false alarms?

We have not experienced any as of yet.

Is this a medical device?

No.  This is a wellness communication tool.
